It has been 12 days I am here..the weather improves so much, they said it is already a spring eventhough the cold wind blows so strong.Once Po Ok told me that one of the main indicator to detect the coming of spring by noticing the existing of ducks come out looking for worms, nah..not in Kansas, my experience was meeting and playing with squirrels. How much my son loves that, maybe it is due to the character of Chip and Dale on youtube.com..I dont know really..it can be so many reasons, he likes animals so much, he likes to be free from our apartment which is quite small, and there at the park, there are so many kids..
What does it mean by “revision”? Can it be associated to seeing again and again and again your notes? Is it a difficult task? Oh sure it is, or else, it wont have another name such as “swotting” and “cramming”. I believe everybody can do a revision on his own, but the main question is how to perform a good revision? And remember, a good revision is determined,USUALLY and ALWAYS by the exam results. Before I delve into that matter, permit me to explain a little bit on the expectation/ the idea of what is revision:
a) it is a show time to your self or you assessors on how good you are at gripping the materials you have learned successfully.
b) It is a competition between you and other students, that you are better in comprehension, remembering and etc.
c) It is a parameter of yourself on the things that you don’t have a grip yet and you determine to have it.
Revision is important because your examination performance depends much to it. There are few things to ponder upon for a good revision such as how you revise, when you start and the measurement of the efficiency of your revision.
Revision means a lot to those who aims to get a good degree. To those, it is a must NOT to spend insignificant efforts during the wee hours of upcoming exams. The main reason is it will exhaust your energy and you must conserve your energy at least to read the paper well!
There are few strategies if you really want to sit for last minute revision (this strategy is purely for those who believe and applying the concept of doing early revision and last minute revision is unnecessary). Here you go:
a) captured some/ a little bit/ a pinch of things that are stored in your mind rather than you run your eyes on notes or text books that lead your understanding nowhere. It is to avoid you feeling reckless and it will damage your morale knowing at the last moment that there are something that you don’t know yet and need to be covered. My advice is you stay in touch with whatever information that you know and keep polishing.
b) Mind map the questions and answers to your revision practices that you have done before. It is a must to do this because this will boost up your morale by showing to yourself how efficiently you are with your memory. If there are any loopholes, again, don’t waste time to polish them up.
c) Basically it is like a warming up. Your brain will be best if it is already warming up. Your high morale will raise your energy level rather than you keep worrying with the irrelevant things.
My New Home..
I arrived at
When I was at KLIA, I felt so happy, the first time we are going to be united again after many years separated. The feeling of independence is very strong, and the journey inside MAS was very good eventhough we suffer jet lag. Mr Abdul Rahman, the flight attendant was very helpful, he helped a lot, and it went the same to few cutes “pramugari” whom I believed attracted to the funky and cutey smiley Irfan. I still remember when Hum was sleeping, one of them took Irfan to their resting place and gave him some biscuits.
I sat next to Mrs XYZ from Philiphines, she was very talkative and shared a lot of information about States. She wondered why we came to
Our first transit was
part of it is their English is terrible. I managed to experience and see two brothers whom I believe from Middle East , performed their solat Zuhur and Asar, and it was a relieved seeing them performing their obligation. I and my wife did our Zuhur and Asar in the flight.
The worst part when I arrived at
It is near Subuh, and I want to read Quran, I will continue later, Insha Allah.
I am convinced that the most important benefit that students derive from their study experiences in higher education is becoming better, improve at learning and upgrading their approaches to give a genre of understanding of what they have been studying to humanity. Truthfully, it is enough and very good because this skill will help them in their life. In my opinion, life is a matter of learning. They are well equipt.
I notice a lot of students work hard but still they fail to achieve their desired outcomes, and I put the blame on their strategy , they don’t well equipt themselves with strategy of learning which to me is / are very necessary.
It is important to note here that strategy of learning and the varieties of them need you to work hard and smart. Flying colors need you to do both, work smart and work hard to ensure success. Exactly as been mentioned and told by Edison..it comes with perspiration, talent will always remain 1%.
What does it mean to work smart? It means you:
a) get a good result. If you don’t get a good result, it means you are not effective.
b) It is a common reflection that your learning has been achieved greatly. That’s why you work smart.
c) Of course you don’t want to waste our precious time.
d) It is a measure of our level of intelligence, hard work, clever and etc
STUDY SKILL(PART 1: READING SKILL: An Efficient Reader)
Author: admin // Category: UncategorizedWhat does it take to be a good reader? Is the preparation prior to reading activities or our background schemata help us to achieve pure understanding of any reading materials? Does illustration on pages help you much to assist in your comprehension? Or may I say, you understand your material effectively because you have read it few times?
Efficient reader benefits much from his reading due to his focus because his time and effort are worthless. It depends much on his purpose of readings, slow when to understand it fully or just grasp only few important materials (main ideas) and then skip any irrelevant data. The key concept here is flexibility.
Focus for a good reader means having the intention in mind to be alert and questioning, so that he can put his activity into going on, deciding either to go quickly or slower down. He will think ahead of what he eager to know about and at the same time has the ability to relate and interconnecting his prior data on reading itself, activity. They aim for relationship and a lot of time anticipating what the author’s future written explanation in the book. Reading for meanings can be very slow but this help much because we will able to pick out the essentials from rubbish.
This part 1 will help you to put a concept to be an efficient reader
